The Shooting Creek Basket Guild (SCBG) is a local group that focuses on the shared knowledge and appreciation of basket making. The SCBG meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 10:00 to 2:00 at the Shooting Creek Fire Station in Shooting Creek, North Carolina. Fellowship begins at 9:45, so come early to meet the members and socialize. Each meeting features a hands-on program given by one of our many talented members or guest teachers.
In 2022, SCBG celebrated 20 years of service to the community. Our purpose of promoting and advancing the art of basketry is perpetuated by sharing knowledge and skills, encouraging creativity, and building lasting friendships.  News releases, the website, and our community activities help stimulate public appreciation of basketry. We welcome both new and experienced weavers with a willingness to learn and promote the art of basketry.
Interested in basket weaving?  You are invited to attend a meeting as a guest to get to know us before joining our Guild.  Annual Dues are $35.00. Contact Us on the form below for more information.
