Instructor :  Willow Love

Note: please watch the videos....

Class Closed!

Learn how to make a ribbed basket with a Honeysuckle natural rim!  Willow has decided to make this a "giveaway" of round reed to the members of the guild from her own inventory.  She is also providing the honeysuckle rims.

We are asking members to bring 4 - 6 long strands of #2 round reed.  If you don't have #2 round reed, Willow will have enough to cover you.  There will be no charge for the materials for this basket.

Sign up at the May or  June meetings for either a small or medium basket.  Willow recommends that Beginners start with a small basket.  More experienced weavers can do a medium basket.  If you are unable to sign up at the meetings, please use the Contact Us tab to let us know your level of experience.

Log in to the Members Section to watch the videos before the class.

Christmas Charities

Cindy, our Hospitality Officer, has started our annual drive to support two charities again this year.   Our goal is $1,000!

Our Charities are Valley River Humane Society and REACH of Clay County.  These are both very deserving charities that do good work to support our communities.

https://valleyriverhumanesociety.org/

https://reachofclaycounty.square.site/donate

We have three ways to donate this year:

  • Give cash or check donation to the Guild and we will make the donation on your behalf. Brenda will provide you with a receipt. Cash should be in an envelop with your name and the charity you wish to support. Checks should be made out to  SCBWG and make a note in the memo line as to which charity you choose...or split between each charity.    The Guild will collect all the donations and write one check to each charity.
  • Go to the websites below and donate directly.  If you do, please let Cindy know what you donated so we can track our Guild Goal!  Let Cindy, or Patti know at a Guild meeting or use the Contact Us page to send a message.
  • One option at the Humane Society is to "click" on Chewy, Amazon or Tractor Supply to make a purchase of dog or cat food.  Or you can go to any vendor or your choice and ship your donation.
